I’m not the one to arrange my cables after color, length and function. Usually.

I actually cable-tied all the cables down for a sleeker look in the bar. Obviously this means my HDD in the DVR is on the way to die.  I knew I should’ve had a mess back there. I’m sure the HDD would be just fine. On the other hand someone would’ve showed up with a sword and kill the TV instead.

I have to fix the DVR today as we need to record the Oscars. Good bye cable ties.

If I were to build a model it could look something like this. More will come, just watched the fireworks and it’s time for bed.

That’s how long it took me to figure out the three shell thing in Demolition man.

I always figured they were uptight enough in the future that they had no need to poop.

You know the one I am on about, you can nod your head there is no shame in having seen the movie.

It really doesn’t matter how they were used it’s just that they’re on about it all through the movie. The reality of the matter is obviously that nobody know how they were used as they are only there as a setup for a joke. But according to Stallone this is how the writer described the use to him (Stallone did not make this drawing, i think you figured that on out though).

Pointless info but still an update to my blog.

There are real  live solutions that are hard enough to figure out like these privys.

No matter how much I want to be up in space I think I’d rather try the clam shells than  the space toilets, they kinda redefine the floater.

Em’s sleeping on the couch after a hard day at work, me I’m just surfing the netwebs. Having surfed for a whole lot of years it feels like there’s mostly crap left to find on it.

I am seriously thinking of taking a vacation “away from keyboard”.  Not for long though, maybe just until Monday. But still.

Found this picture and instantly fell in love with it. I don’t like the message it is sending, I think the man is doing some great work.

I do however like that this confirms the old saying that the last idiot isn’t born yet. I like it when sayings are true ;) .

Also I think the guy did a hello of a job in Photoshop, or not.

It amazes me that affordable health care can be likened to the village medicine man and communism so easily and in the same pictorial sentence. What amazes me even more is the fact that so many  people buy in to such propaganda. It’s something all industrialized countries but on are providing, even quite a few developing countries are providing free health care. If a healthy people able to work is bad I don’t know what is good. Countries with universal health care have higher life expectancy and lower rates of infant deaths than countries without UHC.

But whatevs.

“Shoot as fast as lightnin’ but it loads a mite slow”, you know it I’m talking about the new bow.

Went down to Bålsta for the weekend, I went down for a thingie with work but stayed the weekend. I finally got to see both my brothers homes, I know I suck for not having seen them before. Me and mom went to Enköping to visit dad, he’s up and about. Not that he’ll be running any marathons anytime soon but then again he never was an athlete. It was good seeing the old man on his feet though. They still don’t know what ails him but at least he’s getting better.

In Bålsta the weather was good but here summer really is gone, no doubt about it. Now we enter the not so good period we call everlasting winter. Iknow Iknow, winter’s not here yet but it’s too close for comfort. Cold outside usually means I get to do some stuff indoors, so if you’ve got a plungerouter or a fixed base router you’re not using at the moment i’d like to borrow’em. There are a few things that still bug me about our home, which is good since I get to build stuff.

Back to real life and work. I have yet to adapt to not being able to go to cool stores and drink good beer.

There are some good things to be said about being home of course but not too many. I just put the saw to the bar and got the new flat-screen mounted, it was nice getting that done. Using my cellphone is cheap again, that’s kinda nice.

My compound is a treat, it shoots better than I do, I’ll have to join the local archery club to get some practice and pointers.

At work I’ve gotten some praise from the big bosses down in Stockholm for being who I am, nice to get recognition for my social prostitution.

Tonight I’ll try to get some pics up from the trip.

Hopefully we will come over sooner but in 2015 I have to come. 2015 brings the Kansan brood back. It’s the closest emergence of a 17 year locust brood and I think that would be cool to see, it’s kind of like an eclipse. You have to be in the right place at the right time.

We’re trying to come back more often and have decided to do so. Ten years is way too many years.

At work so this’ll be a shorty, I just felt I should let you all know we’re back in Mordor.

It feels weird not going to Panera’s or Red Robin, no addie or Spike to play with either. In stead of Target Kvantum will have to do.

I’ve found left hand beer over here though and a couple of more Colorado beers, which is a good thing. Oh I have a rock bottom mug to drink from, which gives the illusion of being back for at least a few seconds.

Em’s at work for a few hours and then we’re both off work, nice indeedelidoodilidoo.

Tomorrow we’re leaving Luleå and I ain’t complaining.

Lots to do but still, 17 hours.

I’m thinking it would be cool to see Foo Fighter on the 14th or 15th at red rock or Tool on the 18th in Denver.

What say you party people of Colorado?

Firstly I feel a need to say I am hilarious in Swedish. It may get lost in translation but I am, for sure. ;)

To get some extra cash me and Em are translating a friends web shop into English, I is using my finestest of Englishes of kors. No missspeling enywhare or nuthin.

It’s good having friends that suck. At English that is. Extra money for the trip is welcome so if you need something translated into Swedish or any other language I can use the Babel fish for send your money to “translations without grammar inc” and we’ll see what we can do.

Three more days of work is all there is between me and my vacationionionion that acording to me is well deserved.

So let the beer flow freely and let the virgins rest, soon enough I’ll be there and raise hell. Maybe not hell but some heckididelidoo at least.

That’s all there is between us and 15 hours of spam. I always feel like spam on the flight, crammed into a seat built for hobbits. But I’m not complaining at all since spamming it out for a few hours is well worth it considering the goal.

As I’ve told you earlier it’s been ten years since we went to Colorado, so I wouldn’t mind 34 hours in the tiniest plane in the world.

All that stands between us and the tarmac in Denver is five days of working and one day reserved for packing and Jessica’s 4:th of July birthday BBQ/bash.

So I’m not counting months, weeks or even days anymore, I’m down to hours. It may seem a little early for that but as I’m expecting a pure hellweek at work it’s the only way to stay sane. ;)

I’ve had this song stuck in my head all morning, it’s a little Spinal Tap song called America.

“We came like babies
From our home across the sea to see America
And the people opened up their arms
To welcome us, to America

We came like children
From a far and distant land to see America
And the golden sun of freedom
Filtered down to us, in America

And the people stood and stared
Loved us more than we had dared to, in America

Super highways here and there
Pretty womens everywhere
Brady Bunch and Smokey Bear
Buildings reaching to the sky
Afro-Sheen and apple pie
PTA and FBI

Jumbo jet begins to rise
A joyful nation waves its bye-byes

Each religion, race, and creed
Gets exactly what they need
God bless Johnny Appleseed

Hey!”

So see you guys in a week.

They’re trying to pass lots of new laws in Sweden. They all have to do with Internet access and what you can do on said net.

As of today the music companies can do a raid in your apartment without a warrant, something which the police can’t do. It seems it’s okay for private companies to do it but not for the entity that upholds the law. Now they want to restrict access and make it possible for Intellectual rights holders to decide what should be accessible on the web.

I mean I love Metropolis but come on. The thing I find most silly is the fact that they want to corner the ISP:s  so they’ll limit you access. But who will govern the net? Who will decide if an article that would promote said move/album and sell more copies is okay or not? What is the difference between a commercial on a pay TV channel and my blog pushing for the same product? If I choose to promote a product by my own choice for free who is to say that’s bad?

In Sweden if the copyright holders get their will I won’t be able to recommend a movie. It will by default be disabled (my blog) if I do not have written permission to mention the movie or album. They are however not going after Google, the fastest way to find thousands of torrents is to google for them.

Silly if you ask me, maybe it’s time to move to China, they only limit access to government criticism.

Ps, I am sorry for mentioning intellectual property like.

Conan.

Tesla’s inventions.

Chtulhu.

The new Judge dredd movie.

Oh wait, Conan and Chthulhu are still okay as they have become public domain.

We had a little get together on Friday, I should say Em and Tess we’re having dinner and wine. I was supposed to paint so I bought som near water beer so I could be on the scaffolding without falling off. About an hour after I got home I got a call from afriend saying he was in town.

So I uncorked a bottle of Branca and the rest is history. All in all a good night if I hadn’t lost my phone, the phone is totally replacable but i had loads of photos in it. That simply sucks the big one, so if you see any weird photos of me on the internet they’re most likely from my phone not me.
